I’d heard about Crossfit for a couple years. I was slowly becoming surrounded by “crossfitters”. After I graduated high school I went straight to college and gained so much weight. My heaviest was at 210. I used the gym UAFS had on campus, I used Planet Fitness, I tried at home workouts and nothing stuck. I would easily give-up because I felt like I was never seeing results. I joined Activate in October of 2017 and it is now June 2018 and I’ve lost 38lbs. I don’t have another box to compare these coaches to but they are truly amazing. They each have their own little quirks that make me love them. They are some of the most encouraging people I have ever met and they truly care about you and your journey. The whole environment is just really positive. I’ll admit that for me the hardest part is showing up. But if I can just get myself there I love being around the other members. I love the challenging workouts. I always think I might die, but I never do. 🤣 I love finishing a workout and just laying on the floor trying to catch my breath. I love stopping my watch and seeing how many calories I burned. It’s hard, but it’s SO worth it!
